Warm Springs’ origin dates back to the pioneer days of the 1830s. A neighboring town, Bullochville, was considered to be an extension of Warm Springs and eventually, the two towns were combined to create the quaint community that has become present-day Warm Springs. With a population of nearly 500, Warm Springs is small; yet this tiny town‚ rich with history – attracts more than 300,000 visitors each year. It’s easy to see why Warm Springs is considered “the little city with a lot to offer”.
Historical Landmarks
Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Little White House is the town’s crown jewel of historic landmarks. And the new Franklin D. Roosevelt Museum serves to enhance the attraction to The Little White House. Located just a few feet away from The Little White House, the museum houses a notable collection of Roosevelt memorabilia dating back to the 1920s.
Welcome Center
The city’s Welcome Center is an attraction in itself. Built in 2000, it is a replica of the Old Depot which stood on the spot made famous by President Roosevelt’s trips to Warm Springs. Another key attraction is the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute, the nationally acclaimed rehabilitation center, which recently celebrated its 75th anniversary. The city also hosts various festivals and special events during the year‚ including the famed Candlelight Tour at Christmas.

Although Warm Springs thrives on its tourism success, the town is equally progressive in areas such as education, healthcare, and business development.
