It is a great Honor to have been selected for the ASEAN-CEO award for the year 2024 (SME). In fact, this recognition, makes it more special as last 4 years have seen a lot of disruptions in the Global Business and specially in Supply-Chain of Petrochemicals Raw Material, during the COVID time and now with the on going shipping crisis due to Red Sea issues. For being a CEO of a small firm, with limited resources at hand,It was a great learning curve to guide the company during these disruptive time. Few lessons learned during last 4 years : 1. As a lean organization perhaps, we had the advantage of being flexible and utilizing data for making intelligent decisions, helped us foster strong relations with the supplier, buyers and our logistics partners ( who played a vital role during these time) 2. Networking / Referrals ( via conferences / trade fair / networking events ) became a very important part of business development during these times, as it was crucial to ensurewe are dealing with the right sources and the fallout was with highrisk and costs. 3. Developing a strong partnership in the entire supply-chain eco systembecame our core priority, which eventually led to sustainable business even during these disruptive times. 4. Off coursethe use of technology / Apps, and developing a SOP for order monitoring / shipments / payments / communication channels etc allowed us to work efficiently using minimal resources. 5. With the right tools in hand, being lean and flexible, along with gathering and using the intelligent market data, we could develop acrisis and risk management model that helped us make pro-active decisions in face of the dynamic and perhaps risky business environment ( survival mode)we are in. I am not sure if we made a lot of money, which a CEO is expected to make, no matter what, but I can say with confidence that we are more smarter and confident company today and ready for a stronger growth in future. I am very thankful to all our suppliers, customer, logistic and business partners who are playing a very important part during these time, and one of the reasons why I could get this Honor.
