11 at Resthaven Mortuary and Cemetery, 11800 W. Kellogg. She was born Esther Flora Gieselmann, Nov. 15, 1918 in Optima, OK to August Gieselmann and Martha Klingsick. She spent her adult life in Wichita, where she worked at Continental Trailways Inc.

as a clerical clerk for 40 years. After her retirement, Esther volunteered for the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. For many years, she volunteered for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. With her exceptional talent and love of crocheting, she made countless afghans to be distributed to those in need around the community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell "Gene" Fletcher; her parents and her brother, Otto Gieselmann.

Survivors include: sister, Hulda Ekens of Hooker, OK; sister, Alma Harms of Fritch, TX; sister, Wilma Harms of Russelville, AR; sister, Ruth Kreutziger of Dumas, TX and many nieces nephews. Esther will be missed by her family and many longtime friends, as well as her newer friends at Riverside Village, which was her home the past 14 months. She will be especially missed by her good friends, John and Kris Lenoch and their daughters, Kelsey and Natalie. Garver, Lois L. Moon, 94, Wichita, formerly of Kansas City, MO, died August 10, 2004.

As the "matriarch" of the "Garver Summer Camp on Pelican she will be missed dearly by all her family. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, Grace Presbyterian Church, Wichita. Private family burial will follow. Born in Pratt, KS, Lois attended Southwestern College for 2 years, and then the University of Kansas for two additional years. Graduating with a degree in Physical Education, she taught for one year in Ottawa, KS.

Lois was active in college sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, and continued her service to them by serving as president of the Greater Kansas City Gamma Phi Beta Alumni Association. She was named Woman of the Year by this organization. She also served as President of the Greater KC Panhellenic Association, was active in Country Club United Methodist Church, and was involved in PTA at her daughters' schools. She served on the Board of Directors of The Crittendon Home in its early years of service to youth in Kansas City. Lois, one of 6 children of the Moon family in Pratt, KS was predeceased in 2000 by her husband of 68 years, Roger K.

Moore, Doris Thelma (Morgan), beloved mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2004 while vacationing with her family in Colorado. Her husband James Albert Moore precedes her in death. Doris was born on December 16, 1918 in Newton, Kansas. She was the second oldest child of Jesse Franklin Morgan and Effie Eldora (Rosebaugh) Morgan. She attended Newton High School where she graduated in 1936.

It was in this high school that she met her husband and on March 17, 1936 married and remained faithfully committed in her marriage for 65 years. Doris was employed by the Kansas State Bank and later by Macy's Department store, but her first love and commitment was that of a loving wife, mother, and homemaker who placed the needs of her family first by quietly serving them. She loved to travel and spent much of her years of retirement traveling with her husband in their motor home across the United States. For the past three years, since her husband's death, she has been living with her daughter and son-in-law, and it was this love of traveling that allowed her to remain active and to be able to continue to travel with her family even at 85 years of age. She was greatly loved and will be missed by her family.

She leaves behind her, son and daughter-in-law Jim and Sharon of Wichita; daughters and sons-inlaw Debra Moore and Guy Palmer, Dianna and Roger Mathews all of Wichita; sister, Iris Base of Newton, KS; grandchildren: Jill Moore, Nathan Mathews, Lucas Mathews, John Mathews, Elizabeth Mathews, Jacob Mathews all of Wichita, Peter Mathews, West Point, NY, Bret Moore of Hollywood, CA, Brandon Greer of New Market, Brett Greer of Albuquerque, NM, Brian Houchens of Herrington, KS, and six great-grand children.
