A BRIEF review OF.NEWGROUNDS.common sense media claims this website is "too inappropriate"well this website not half as bad as it seems.Even though it has lots of bloody gory flash games like picos school or..alien hominid or some of the animations on there the website is nor realistic nor graphiced for me as a early teen.its so unrealistic its FUNNY and i was allowed to play it when i was 13! this game is neither really sexual though some of the fanart or some of the posts on there are probably disturbing for my younger kids its NOT AS SEXUAL AS YOU MIGHT THINK even though their MIGHT be extremely sexual posts from time to time its like archive.org it blurs the posts that are inappropriate and for adults AND ARE LABELED ADULTS and IT DOES NOT FOR TEENS.If you are one of the adults here like i am you would probably remember the mascots of newgrounds tankman is the mascot these days BUT BACK THEN is when and always will be the extremely VIOLENT era when pico was the mascot he basically was a gangster and the mascot had his own game and a few animations and was featured in fnf or friday night funkin besides newgrounds is not as sexual as google search or youtube or DO NOT USE IF KID p*rnhub DO NOT USE IF KID!the games and animations also use swear words such as the F bomb the S word and the B word also the A word and barley to a slight percent of none the N word. its okay but not the best for 15 year olds other wise ages younger DON'T GO ON THE WEBSITE.

The rating system needs to be overhauled. There is a huge culture of “zero bombing” whereby users systematically and anonymously vote 0 on projects in order to drastically reduce the projects’ scores, perhaps partly to get their own projects higher up on ranking lists. Therefore, most projects go by unseen, with ratings that do not reflect merit, and users whose projects are zero bombed may be inclined to do the same to counteract, resulting in a vicious cycle. This is an issue not only for artists but also perusers, who due to this will not get to experience many high-quality projects. The issue is especially prevalent in the audio section, but is also a problem in other areas. The community at large has complained about this issue for many, many years and offered many suggestions to fix this, including fraudulent vote detection, which a site like this should have but strangely Newgrounds seems to lack, at least to any effective capacity. Until Newgrounds can overhaul their primitive and backwards voting system they get a “one bomb” from me (no zero available here unfortunately), and unlike the aforementioned ratings on Newgrounds, this score is intended to be accurate.

Newgrounds is not for childdren under 17! There is violent cussing including the N-F and C bombs! Theres also violent graphics and in some games sexual content. I wouls ugest if your kid is in beetween 13-17 they are only allowed to play it uder heavy supervision. The games are amazing though!

I knew this website existed for a long time but I felt like as a kid or a teen that I was too young to be there. I do not recommend for young children or teens who are sensitive to adult content, criticism for their content or display of violence in videos or games or a weird sense of humour. There are games/videos that are kid safe but definitely monitor what they're playing or watching.

as a Newgrounds player since 2005, I was a weird little middle schooler. The site has some really good games, from everyone to adult ratings. Some iffy games, art and videos are on the site but most of it is restricted. Please mind, SOME OF IT ISN'T. For example a game I used to play a lot "Pico's School" the game is about a school shooting and killing the people who "shot up your school". I didn't really mind the violence, but to others its way too violent or too gorey. Over all 3/5 because I think Tom Fulp, the creator. Should make even stronger restrictions on the website.

This site is not for children, it has a rating for 17 and up, but the graphic nature and content really should be for 18 and older. Full of cartoon p*rnagrapic type videos.

Newgrounds: a place for everything, and nothing at all.I can remember being led to Newgrounds from other Flash-game websites like Gamefudge.com or Y8.com, back in their hayday. Nothing quite compared to the raw, unadulterated mix of media provided by Newgrounds, with content ranging anywhere from General Audiences to Adult Only, and everything in between - literally. There really was no end to the amount of content one could see, download, or look up, and that was back in 2010. I haven't been there in years, probably because I'm 23 now and I make my own content. In the early 2010's, Newgrounds was a melting pot of artists, fans, creators, enthusiasts, and more; the website was an eclectic menagerie of ideals, thoughts, and mindsets that marked the coming of a generation raised on the Internet. I had reservations about the website's initial purpose, but it looks like it's still just as chaotic and deregulated as it was ten years ago...wait, holy cow, that was ten years ago!! Boy, how time flies.To all the Gen-whatevers yawping about how easy it is to gain access to Newgrounds, do your research, seriously. You're not as tech-savvy as you think, and it's very likely your little one is already a few steps ahead of you. That being said, give your kid some credit and talk to them about what they're looking at. It's one thing to chastise young eyes for exploring the more murkier parts of adolescence, but it's another entirely to act like "this stuff" is reserved for the unguided, uneducated scum of lesser families. Newgrounds is just one website out of many. If your child is *mentally* mature enough to feel compelled to seek this stuff out, then they will find a way to do so. Honestly, truly, heed my words, or you'll raise a sneaky child.

p*rnographic content promited by people who claim to be a community, then say and do things that scream otherwise. Look elsewhere if youre seeking originality.
