JONESBORO, Ark. (2/20/24) – The Arkansas State Athletics Department has announced numerous promotions for its home baseball and basketball games this week, including its nationally-televised men's basketball game at First National Bank Arena (FNBA) on Thursday night.

All the action this week begins tonight when the Red Wolves host Arkansas-Pine Bluff in a 6:00 p.m. contest at Tomlinson Stadium. The outing will mark the return of A-State's "Two-Dollar Tuesdays" promotion that will run throughout the season and features $2 tickets and a $2 concession item that will change with each game. Tonight's concession item will be $2 hot dogs.

Arkansas State will host Troy in a women's basketball matchup Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m., which includes a BOGO ticket option. Fans can purchase two lower-level tickets for just $10 by visitingbit.ly/BOGO22124. The concession stands will also be selling $2 hot dogs and the Red Wolves' women's bowling team will be presented their conference championship and national runner-up rings during halftime. The student section's "Leaders of the Pack" for the contest will be the Delta Sigma Theta sorority.

A-State men's basketball is set for its first nationally-televised home game in over 25 years on Thursday night against Troy, and a plethora of promotions have been announced ahead of the 8:00 p.m. contest. Coca-Cola is the sponsor for the Red Wolves' contest against the Trojans that will appear on ESPNU – the program's first home game on national TV since an 82-66 overtime win against South Alabama on Dec. 28, 1997.

·Black Out the Bank: The FNBA doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for A-State's "Black Out the Bank" game. The Red Wolves will be wearing black uniforms, and fans are encouraged to wear black as part of the theme. Black rally towels also be given away to fans.

·2-for-$22 tickets: Fans can purchase two lower-level tickets for just $22 by visiting the FNBA Ticket Office (lower red entrance), calling 870-972-2781 or visitinghttps://bit.ly/2tixfor22(type "Troy" in the unlock window).

·Barstool Sports Hot Dog Review & Campus Walk: Barstool Sports personalities Frank "The Tank" Fleming and Rico Bosco will be in attendance to cheer on the Red Wolves. Prior to the game, Frank will do a "hot dog review" at J-Towns at 4:00 p.m., followed by a 5:30 p.m. walk around the A-State campus. He'll be joined by A-State Chancellor Dr. Todd Shields for a portion of the walk, as well as students. The times are approximate and subject to change, but fans can keep up with details by following the A-State Men's Basketball social media channels.

·Half-court Shot: During the game, Rico will select nine students to shoot a half-court shot at halftime, while Frank is set to fire the Higginbotham Family Dental T-Shirt Toothpaste cannon during the contest. The first student to make the half-court shot will be awarded $500 from Dr. Robert Kaloghirou, a local dentist and A-State Athletics supporter. If the half-court shot is not made during halftime, it will resume after the conclusion of the game with all students who choose to participate.

·Loudest Student Organization: There are additional promotions in place for the student section, including cash prizes ($1,000/$750/$250) for the three loudest student organizations. The top $1,000 award is being presented by Poinsett Rice & Grain. Additionally, all students in attendance who register on the official Arkansas State University app using a QR code (available at the game) will be eligible to win two different $500 cash prizes that will be presented at the conclusion of the game.

This week's basketball games will conclude with a doubleheader at FNBA on Saturday, when the women's team will face Southern Miss South at noon and the men's squad will play South Alabama at 2:30 p.m. A-State's "Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day" will be held in conjunction with both games.

There are multiple events planned for Arkansas State University faculty and staff, including in-game contests, a recognition of the Early College Programs, a video board presentation and the announcement of the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Faculty Member of the Year nominees.

The noon contest will be A-State's "Play 4 Kay" game, an initiative aimed to unite players, coaches, officials and fans to stop the clock against all cancers affecting women. Playing its final home outing of the regular season, the men's basketball team will be holding its Senior Day event honoring seniors Caleb Fields and LaQuill Hardnett at the conclusion of the game.

Halftime of each contest will also feature a Special Olympics basketball game, which is played annually during halftime at one of the Red Wolves' games.

Additionally, at all four home basketball games this week, A-State fans will have the opportunity to help the A-State Food pantry as it takes part in a "food fight" with other campuses across the Sun Belt Conference. Volunteer A-State will have a table near the yellow entrance of FNBA for all four games this week, collecting donations of high-demand food items and hygiene products as well as monetary gifts. The campus that secures the most donations in the month of February will be declared the winner of the "food fight."

In addition to its game tonight versus UAPB, the baseball team will host a three-game weekend series against Lindenwood at Tomlinson Stadium. Friday's game is set to begin at 6:00 p.m., when fans will be able to obtain a free Red Wolves' team head shot poster. Following the 3:00 p.m. game Saturday, kids will be able to take the field to the run bases. Off to a 3-0 start this year, the Red Wolves will conclude the series Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
