Game broken since update, constant "Mauve Adder" errors (2026)

Hi,

I played the game this eve, the first time since the update Yesterday. I flew to my local Spire Site as normal and had a play. However, I cannot leave the site. I got to super cruise away from the planet - have to, destination blocked - and it does the countdown and is stuck there. My ship's is still instanced, altitude is going up at regular speeds, but it never enters cruise. After a minute or so "Mauve Adder" disconnect.

I get back in-game, and it spawns me right in the centre of the Spire site - amid the Spires - and very low down. Luckily nothing spawns right away. I leave the area again, try to Super Cruise and crash.

I've done this three times now. Nothing has changed on my end, just the game update. I updated yesterday, launched the game to check it still ran, but didn't actually play. Tonight I wanted to actually play for a bit, I have, but I'm stuck on a Spire site now, and am teleported back to it each time I get back in after a crash.

Anyone else suffering from this?

Edit: to add insult to injury, my fully repaired ship is damaged again each time I get back in game.

Try using the new position reset button(or whatever it's called) from the main menu settings. That should move you out to open space.

Oh, not aware of that button. Will check it out...except, just before reading your reply, I actually finally got into Super Cruise!

Sorry, I cannot seem to find the Button you're talking about, where is it please?

The issue is occurring again and each time I spawn back in my ship has more damage and less limpets for repairs. I went from 100% hull, all modules good bar one and a couple of Limpets. This last time I was down to 90% hull, ZERO limpets left.

I'm finding reset position stuff for VR, when I google this, but nothing to allow me to leave the planet.

Edit: I flew to space manually and tried to enter SC, Mauve Adder again. I get back in-game and this time it's remembered properly where I was and I was able to engage SC. Now to try to jump to the destination system...

It seems that Spires Sites - at least the one I'm at in Arietis Sector HG-X B1-0 5 - are a bit bugged at the moment. Will avoid the area for the time being.

• Open the Options menu
• Click on "Help and Info"
• Click on "Stuck Recovery" button.

Bit sleepy atm, hope you figure it out.
