Why aren't my fruit trees growing fruit in ACNH? ›

The leaves take up a 3x3 space, encompassing the trunk, and the game won't let a tree grow if its leaves would overlap with those of another tree. For 2 trees to grow successfully, there needs to be 2 spaces between the planting spots.
