Elite Dangerous Odyssey: Fix Implemented for 'Mauve Adder' Issues (2026)

Greetings Commanders.

Thank you so much for your patience with the wave of 'Mauve Adder' errors encountered on deplyment of Update 5 this morning.
In order to implement a fix, we will be rebooting the Elite Dangerous:Odyssey servers at approximately 11:00 UTC/12:00 BST (HORIZONS PLAYERS ON PC SHOULD NOT EXPERIENCE THE REBOOT).
A short period of downtime is expected. I'll keep you updated here on progress.

Importantly:

• Please be aware that the fix requires a 'rollback of missions', which will result in the removal of any missions that you may have managed to accept, following the update.

Luckily for me, the Mauve Adders prevented me to get any missions after launching into Patch5

Thanks. Looks like I've got to go and get 4 news missions. LOL

I only got Cobra errors. I verified the game files and it started working fine.
All the goodies were missing from the lockers, and there appeared to be no data, after returning t the game, which would have made my completion of the mission impossible.

This hotfix will probably fix it, so posting my awesome avatar here for anyone to enjoy

nice one Sally... quick question though.. with this also correct the transaction server time outs some of us have had exiting and entering super cruis as well as some of the station services timing out (mission board for example) ?

Ah, so thats what happened to my missions.

A little more warning might have been nice. IN game the message barely left the screen, although i was being shot at so didn't have time to actually read it, before the disconnect.

Oooo are these reported anywhere so I can have a proper read on more specifics please ? Sorry to ask, my little brain is in a starry little whirlpool.

i'll tell you right here so np... basically the interchange coming in and out of supercruise/orbital cruise is sluggish.. and some of the starport services have timed out and thrown us back to the main services UI screen. the only way i have managed to over come it is to log out and log back in again in a different instance.. im gonna give it another go now that the servers have been rebooted but if it persisted i'll update ya.

oh btw - nice one tot the peeps for putting the LaveCon flight suit back in (i felt naked with out lol)

They are mentioned here and there in the original patch 5 thread. My experience is that mission boards can't load: you wait while the load spinner does its spinning and after about 30 seconds you are back in the terminal home screen.

I also had a similar experience when accepting an NPC mission - when I hit Accept Mission, nothing happened. I was still in the NPC conversation view with all options greyed out. I think I eventually got released from that. No mission assigned.

That's suuuper awesome of you to explain more here but if it's causing continued nastiness I can't really track it properly without an issue to carry. If you can get more lovely info, pop it in a ticket, then DM it to me I can get it looked at. Thanks so much!

i'm pretty sure this one will require a client patch... so there should be a downloadable hotfix later in the evening or more likely tomorrow

I mean that's naturally what I do but if it's not tackling snakes it's now going and saying "Oh hey so...after we all tackled that last situation, Commanders are now seeing their...themselves a little differently" :') Never a dull moment. I have to smile, I'm sorry. Looking into it now o7
