Testwood and Otterbourne Delivery PartnersWorking Together On 25th October, the CMDP leads from the Testwood project, visited the GTB Otterbourne project to undertake a lessons learned and opportunities workshop. The two teamsreviewed the needs and deliverables for both projects. They established that there are many opportunities to capitalise on project synergies and realise efficiency gains, through: ■ Use of Otterbourne constructed designs at Testwood■ Providing common assets to both sites ■ Identification of efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities■ Standardising operator interfaces and control techniques across the two sites ■ Sharing Supply Chain intelligence■ Sharing and understanding the lessons learned from the Otterbourne project ■ Undertaking further workshops to review commissioning needs. “Getting the teams together gave us the opportunity to collaborate and share learning; to understand what worked well at Otterbourne and how we could replicate that approach using accepted designs at Testwood to enable efficiencies and cost-savings. The knowledge shared will enable the Testwood team to save time and cost by adopting solutions already delivered at Otterbourne.” Paul Nolan – Water Programme Manager, CMDP#succeedingtogether #alwaysimproving Martin James Vingoe, Neil Cuthbert, Jonathan Randall, Paul Nolan, Matthew Cutts, Mike Young

At the heart of TBRP's inception lies a profound realisation. We recognised the unmet needs of landowners seeking to commercialise their lands but lacking the roadmap to do so effectively. It was this gap that fueled our determination to step in and make a difference. We understood that it's not just about having the means or skills; it's about using them purposefully. Landowners needed more than a one-size-fits-all approach. They deserved tailored solutions that resonated with their unique visions. Our commitment extended beyond mere transactions. It was about establishing meaningful connections on a personal level, listening attentively to understand their aspirations, and collaborating to chart a clear path forward.TBRP's journey began with the belief that success isn't measured solely by our achievements but by the positive impact we make in empowering landowners. We harnessed our expertise, resources, and dedication to guide landowners through the maze of commercialising their land, ensuring that their dreams align with prosperous outcomes.Join us at TBRP, where our journey started with a purpose - to empower landowners and navigate the landscape of commercialisation together. Let's craft a success story that resonates with your land's potential!

This allows us to do more projects, which allows us to grow faster. The biggest benefit of working with Crelate is the visibility and transparency of everything that's happening within JN Solutions.” More here: https://buff.ly/3O3I9XE

How much do you know about Development Corporations and how they can drive delivery?A huge thank you to my panel of experts Ian Piper Jennifer Hunt David Lunts for sharing their experience at Avison Young’s Development Corporation Insight session at UKREiiF.With excellent additional contributions from those in the room, my three main takeaways & conclusion were:1) ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL: Development Corporations come in many varieties. That variation extends to both the type of DC (e.g Mayoral, Locally Led, New Town or Statutory) and their powers & accountability.2) DCs ARE DESIGNED TO DELIVER PLACES: providing focus & skills, x boundary working and resources (e.g. land and flexible funding)3) EXPEREINCE COUNTS: our speakers and participants shared lessons learned and war stories, illustrating the complexities of getting things right first time. It highlighted the immense value of seeking out experience and applying it to local circ*mstances.CONCLUSIONDCs are not a silver bullet (and other delivery mechanisms are available!). To support those considering, setting up or running a DC we must get better at capturing and sharing the lessons and experience already out there. Thanks to all who joined & lets keep the conversation going…Ebbsfleet Development Corporation Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) Avison Young │UK #peopleforplace #developmentcorporations #delivery
