Bespoke Pregnancy Sculptures in Hong Kong | Celebrate Your Baby Bump with Art (2026)

Embrace Your Bump: Turning Pregnancy into Art!

For many women, pregnancy is a time of incredible transformation and a deep connection with their bodies. Samantha Waterhouse, a mother of two based in Hong Kong, found that her pregnancies were times when she felt most comfortable and confident.

"I didn’t have any aches or pains like some women do, so I felt lucky that it was a time in my life that I really enjoyed," says Waterhouse, who has two daughters, Ella, aged four, and Izzy, two. "And I loved the look and feel of my round tummy."

She loved her baby bump so much that she explored the idea of creating a bespoke pregnancy sculpture. These unique keepsakes immortalize a woman's individual form during pregnancy, capturing every curve and contour. Using cutting-edge 3D scanning technology, these sculptures transform a fleeting moment into a lasting work of art.

But here's where it gets interesting: at the time, this service was primarily available in the UK and Australia.

"I wasn’t going to fly to the UK to get it done, but I held on to the concept, which I think is really beautiful, really special."

Last month, Waterhouse turned her vision into reality by launching The Bump Collective, a studio in Hong Kong that now offers these unique sculptures.

What do you think? Would you consider capturing your pregnancy in this artistic way? Do you see it as a celebration of the body, or something else entirely? Share your thoughts in the comments!
