Adele Roberts gives health update
Adele Roberts has candidly opened up about her first symptoms of cancer when she was on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2019.
The former radio presenter experienced early signs of the illness while competing on the ITV reality show. She was later diagnosed two years after her stint in the Australian jungle.
Speaking exclusively to Express Online, Adele shared: "I was ill with cancer on that show. I was in a bad way and and one of the symptoms is losing weight rapidly.
"I couldn't put on weight on that show. I think I am the only contestant that's ever not eating the food, but it was because my tummy was so sore.
"I'd fall asleep and not be able to eat my food. There was a night where I wore all my clothing and got into bed because I was so cold. You just don't think it's something like cancer. I was very worried because my body just felt like I was shutting down."

In 2021, Adele confirmed she was undergoing chemotherapy treatment and began using a stoma bag for bowel cancer. She recently announced that she was free of cancer.
After getting the all-clear, the former BBC Radio One DJ finished in third place during the recent series of Dancing on Ice. She said that she wouldn't have signed up "without a stoma".
Adele said: "It helps other people be mindful and aware and hopefully empowers people that have stoma, because I think there's also a misconception as well that it only happens to older people.
"Its people of all ages. You might know people with stoma bags, they just might just not be confident enough to talk about it."

Adele has recently teamed up with the National Lottery for their 30th birthday and is fronting the Community installation, where seven portraits of amazing people have appeared on the lake at London’s St James Park in recognition of their game changing impact on their respective communities.
Speaking about the campaign, she said:"As someone who has personally experienced the challenges of cancer and witnessed the incredible work of charities like Maggie’s, I am deeply honoured to support The National Lottery’s celebration of these extraordinary Community Game Changers.
"It has been moving to spend time with Dame Laura Lee and to witness the care and dedication that goes into her work. Laura and the other Game Changers are truly inspiring, and it’s a privilege to be part of an initiative that shines a light on the positive change they bring to so many lives. The National Lottery has played a vital role in making these stories possible, and I’m proud to help celebrate their 30th birthday in such a meaningful way."
Laura is the Maggie’s cancer charity chief executive and Adele has been a supporter of Maggie’s for several years.
